Name: DIS (Design Italian Shoes)

Project aim: to enable local shoemakers to get digitalized and shoemaker to be connected with the international market.

How did you come up with the idea? 

The footwear sector 100% Made in Italy is made of many small artisans that create a high quality product, but they have difficulties penetrating international markets and creating fashion-appeal brands. The final consumer of the 100% Made in Italy shoe is, normally, a very demanding business man, with limited free time, that expects for himself a unique shoe, exclusively made, that makes him distinguish from the mass.

What is DIS?

The DIS e-commerce platform is different from other e-commerce platforms for its 3D high performance configurator that allows the customer to choose all the elements and create a pair of shoes from 50 million possible combinations. This way, the ability of local shoemakers gets digitalized and the shoemaker gets connected to the international market. The shoes are handmade in the Italian region of Marche, in the heart of the district of luxury shoes, and shipped worldwide in 4 weeks. The Italian tradition and design mix with the best-quality materials in order to create a very unique shoe. You can get the service online and offline in the selected store. You will be able to touch all the materials, try-on the shoes and create your shoes thanks our totem touch screen with 3D configurator, footscan and RFID technology. That way, you will be able to choose the shoe which fits the best your personality and your style.

Where are you working now? 

At the moment in Italy, Andorra, Russia, Switzerland but we have next opening in China, Czech Republic, Australia and USA), with a new customer experience.
